Course Description

The advent of the community-centric “new media” phenomenon has forced public relations practitioners to incorporate next-generation Internet functionality such as blogs, podcasts, RSS feeds and social media into their PR campaigns, and to adapt to a direct-to-consumer communications. With the new media, press releases are now done faster through the emails. This course teaches Internet public relations resources, including information on social media press releases, search engine optimized PR, press release distribution services, online newsrooms and media kits, Internet public relations tools and more.

Course Objectives

The Course aims at teaching students on the public relations aspect of the new media. Students are able to learn how to write and send press releases through the Internet. Besides, the course introduces students Internet public relations resources, including information on social media press releases, search engine optimized PR, press release distribution services, online newsrooms and media kits, Internet public relations tools and more.

Qualification Awarded

Diploma Students:  Professional Diploma in Internet Public Relations
Intensive Professional Development Course (PDC) students: Professional Certificate in Internet Public Relations.

Any interested person or individual who want to learn new things or update their skills in Internet Public Relations.

Course Duration

3 months for diploma students, 4 days for Intensive Professional Development (PDC) students

Taught Mode

Available in both classroom and distance learning.
3 months Diploma Course available in both classroom and distance learning.
Intensive Professional Development Course (PDC) available for classroom only.

Course Fee

350 Great Britain Pound Sterling  for diploma students, 300 Great Britain Pound Sterling  for PDC students        

Course Start Date

3 months Diploma Course classroom mode: March, June, September, December
3 months Diploma Course distance learning mode: Application can be made anytime as admission is on a continuous basis.
Intensive Professional Development Course (PDC): Courses are run on any four days on a monthly basis. Students to contact the School office for days.

Minimum Entry Requirements

GCSE O’ level or equivalent

Assignments and open book exams
