


Information and Communication Technologies for Development otherwise refer to as ICT4D course is concerned about the adoption and use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) towards the overall socioeconomic development of a given society. This course teaches the benefits inherent in the use of ICTs for development as well as underscoring the challenges against the application of ICTs with a view to offering solutions.
The main objective of the course is to provide the skills required to initiate and implement successful development communication projects that cut across various socio-economic reforms from health, education or rural development to private sector development, financial reform or judicial reform. The course also aims at teaching how to use communication to build consensus through raising public understanding and generating well-informed dialogue among stakeholders.
Diploma Students: Professional Diploma in Development Communication
Intensive Professional Development Course (PDC) students: Professional Certificate in Development Communication.
Development partners, actors in non governmental, non-for-profit organizations, social mobilization officers, communication professionals, government officials and any interested members of the public.
3 months for diploma students, 4 days for Intensive Professional Development (PDC) students
Available in both classroom and distance learning.
