Course Description

Journalism is one of the most interesting, exciting and rewarding careers around the world where one can earn very good money either as full time, part time or as a freelancer. In Britain alone, there are about 2700 daily, Sunday and weekly newspaper titles with over 8000 general interest magazines and around 4000 trade and technical publications. This course introduces students to the world of journalism and teaches basic professional techniques and principles of journalistic writing and reporting. This course is all students need to kick-start a journalism career.

Course Objectives

The course aims at equipping students with all they need to know to be able to write and report for both the print and electronic media. Its goal is to give every student required skills to write and report in journalistic style. At the end of the course, students will be able to practice either as a journalist either as a freelance or full time.

Qualification to be awarded:

Certificate in Basic Journalism.
 

Who Should Attend

The course is opened to anyone who has casual interest in Customer service officers, sales/marketing executive, business owners, entrepreneurs, executive managers and employees whose jobs require retail sales, marketing, gaining and retaining customers/clients.

Courses Duration and taught mode

Four weeks of classroom and practical sessions. Assessment shall be made through Practical Assignments and open book exam. Students who are not interested in the certificate can decide not to do assignment and exam

Course Fee

This course is Free for all students irrespective of their status, age, background or nationality. However, students are required to pay a token 125 GBP for the production of their course materials and practical kits.
